I am a fanatic about food. What we eat, how we eat, cook, buy and where it comes from. After living with migraines and being overweight for most of my life I know from experience that food can make us healthy, feel like crap or even kill us. I was brought up in a small town in New England and most of our food came from local farms. That was back in the days when all of our food YES ALL OF OUR FOOD was grown or raised on family run farms all over the country.
The purpose of this section of my site is to pass on my experience with packaged food vs. homemade food. Now I know the response is going to be I work, I am too busy, I have very little money. Most people would be more than surprised to learn it is cheaper to make meals from scratch than to buy a boxed version. YES, IT IS SO TRUE THAT THESE DAYS IT IS WAY MORE EXPENSIVE TO PUT FRESH FOOD ON THE TABLE THAN IT IS TO BUY TAKE OUT BUT WE CAN STILL EAT HEALTHY AT HOME. I have my own opinions on this but corporations only care about their bottom line and how much money they get to put in their off shore accounts. We can fight against that and still stay within our budgets no matter how small they are without giving up our health. Hopefully some of you will find easy ways to accomplish this on the pages linked to this section and your children will love you for it.
